19 Forbidden Places You’ll Never Be Allowed To Visit

Area 51

Let’s start with a famously inaccessible place, a place that’s been steeped in mystery and fabulous conspiracy theories for well over half a century. Area 51 is a military facility set deep in the Nevada desert, where missiles, weapons, aircraft and other instruments of war have been developed. Due to the intense level of security and secrecy of this installation, Area 51 has become a hotbed of intrigue for conspiracy theorists. From malicious experiments on aliens to government cover-ups of the appropriation and testing of tech extracted from extraterrestrials stranded here on Earth, Area 51 is supposedly where it’s all going down … and it’s gotten a lot more fun in the era of Photoshop. Regardless of whether you are a believer or not, YOU CANNOT GO THERE, even to peek inside the fence. Approximately a million signs are posted saying so.

The Roku 4K Streaming Stick is hands down far superior to any other streaming device I’ve ever used. 80% of the user experience on any streamer is the user interface, and this one has the easiest and most intuitive interface you’ll ever use. It has a wide variety of apps including Netflix, HBO Plus, Hulu, Discovery Plus, Peacock, Prime and more. If you’re used to pressing a button on your remote and speaking into it to locate what you want to watch, you won’t be disappointed, this remote can do that. Not only can it do it, it does it well. You can search for a program throughout all the apps available!!

Who Was Martin Luther? What Were His Main Contributions?

April 8, 2021

who is martin luther

Martin Luther was a German monk and priest. He was a devout Christian. In 1507, he was ordained as a priest and in 1508 he began to teach theology.

During his lifetime, the Western Church was raising money to rebuild St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. That in itself was a pretty well thought out plan. However, the methods by which they collected money were intolerable to Martin Luther.

barbary lion last photo

This is widely believed to be the last ever photo taken of a Barbary Lion (a species now extinct). The picture was taken from on board a Casablanca-Dacar flight in 1925.

Barbary Lions were among the largest lions ever, and were famously used for entertainment/fights in Gladiator Arenas.

The Romans killed thousands of lions in their games, the Arab empire that followed squeezed the remaining animals into smaller territories, and the arrival of European hunters in the 19th century polished them off. Europeans killed so many of these animals that they were quickly exterminated from most of their remaining historic range.

Worst MMA Injury Ever: Fighter Literally Loses His Finger And Somehow Finishes The Round

April 7, 2021

mma fighter loses his finger

(Warning: Graphic image in this post of one of the worst things to ever occur in an MMA fight)

Canadian MMA fighter Khetag Pliev began his fight against Devin Goodale on Thursday night with 10 fingers, as almost every fighter begins almost every fight, but he ended it with nine. Fans in attendance for Cage Fury FC 94 in Philadelphia got to witness the first win by TKO – (Detached Finger) in promotion history, as the fight ended between the second and third rounds when someone in Pliev’s corner pointed to where his left ring finger used to be and was, presumably, like “Where’d that one go?” Nobody knew where the digit was at the time, but it was very clear that it was not where it was supposed to be (on his hand).

How Are We Sure That Humans Won’t Have Adverse Effects From WiFi, Wireless Charging, Phone Signals, Etc?

April 6, 2021

wifi effects

Wifi operates in either the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz spectrum.

Your home router puts out somewhere between 100 mW (milliwats, or 20dBm) to 400 mW.

Water “resonates” at 2.45Ghz. (more accurately, the too-heavy-on-one-side water molecule will respond and change position when you alternate the field)

The average home microwave operates at 2.45Ghz centered, but will waffle down to around 2.3Ghz or so (they’re not super accurate, and do not need to be).

The average home microwave puts out around 1000 W (Watts).

There’s no such thing as perfect shielding; 1-2 W escapes from your microwave.

From this perspective alone, you get more 2.4Ghz radiation when you microwave a cup of tea in the morning, than you would ever get from your Wifi router all day.

From this perspective alone, if you stand in view of a gigantic fusion reactor for a few minutes, you’ll get more 2.4 Ghz radiation than your router would likely provide you in your entire life. We call this state ‘daytime’ and ‘going outside’.
