Never married, never dated, almost had sex with a prostitute, but my self respect stopped me.

Many of us are hard on ourselves. We feel guilty when we spend time on the “wrong” things, we berate ourselves when we don’t reach our goals, and we forget to be gentle with ourselves when we’re struggling.
We navigate our days in a constant ebb and flow of routine. Meals are eaten, tasks are ticked off, and sleep claims us once more. But amidst this familiar rhythm, it’s easy to lose sight of the profound truth: every seemingly mundane today is a crucial stitch in the tapestry of your grandest achievements.
Viewing each day as a mere 24-hour capsule, filled with inconsequential routines, does a disservice to the power it holds. It fails to acknowledge the intricate connection between the seemingly simple acts and the extraordinary outcomes we yearn for. The grand accomplishments we celebrate – the diploma, the ribbon-cutting ceremony – are mere culminations, the visible tip of an iceberg built brick by patient brick, day by day.
It’s a quiet murmur that grows louder with each passing year, a nagging thought tucked in the corner of your mind: “I wish I’d lived a life true to myself.”
These are the echoes of a life lived for others, not ourselves. It’s a sentiment many carry, a bittersweet longing for the path not taken, the life where authenticity reigned over societal norms. But it’s never too late to rewrite the narrative, to claim the life that truly resonates with your soul.

Porn has ruined my life. I am sure of it now. It’s poison for your body, mind and soul. It’s so insidious because it plays with your basic, natural instincts, and on the surface level it seems unavoidable. I mean, sex is good and natural, right? Well, I don’t know, because I’ve never had sex. I’m 41 by the way.
Every hard conversation you put off is a pebble in your shoe. Each day is a painful step that you tell yourself “Not yet, I can’t stop and deal with this right now. It’s too much trouble or pain to face this, I’ll get to it later.” How many pebbles are in your shoe now? How many times throughout your day do you wince as you feel the pebble and dread dealing with it? How heavy is that emotional burden?
