Confession of the Day

March 6, 2024

Bf doesn’t look at me during sex

I know he’s a highly visual person because he used to watch porn multiple times a day before he told me he cut back (after multiple arguments) because it was causing issues in our bedroom and serving as a crutch not to cheat on me, which led to attempts to cheat. He even took videos of him and his ex doing the same positions, so yes, highly visual.

He used to look at my legs, my stomach, and my face during sex and tell me my expressions turned him on, but I guess that was during the “honeymoon” period of him trying to reconnect with me.

Why Arguments With Friends Shouldn’t Be Battles

March 6, 2024

We’ve all been there – you’re hanging out with a close friend, discussing your different perspectives on something, and suddenly it devolves into an argument.

Maybe voices get raised, feathers get ruffled. At some point, it can start to feel like you’re fighting to “win” the argument instead of understand each other.

However, seeing disagreements with friends as competitions to be won is ultimately counterproductive and can damage the relationship.

Arguments don’t need to be battles. In fact, healthy disagreement and debate is normal and can even strengthen friendships – if handled with care.

Confessions Of A Man Who Cleans Porta-Potties For A Living

Is it as bad as it sounds? Not denigrating you, just it sounds like tough work.

Honestly not really. After awhile you kind of get used to it, it is a dirty job but I’m paid well.

How well?

I’m paid $18 an hour to basically drive around and do five minutes of work every 10 to 20 minutes or so. I get 40 hours a week over the winter and overtime in the summer, which can hit 20 plus hours a week.

1) Assume comfort in any interaction.

Our brain is an incredibly complicated instrument. Our relationship with it, is a love-hate one. We think we have control over it but usually something unconscious dictates our actions.

In most of our social interactions, we find it difficult to feel comfortable among strangers because our brain tries to protect us from exposure.

This however isn’t helping us when trying to be social and meet new people, is it?

What Is The Cosmic Microwave Background?

March 5, 2024

cosmic microwave background

The CMB is a snapshot of the oldest light in the universe, imprinted on the sky when the universe was just a baby in cosmic terms.

It is essentially the afterglow radiation from the hot, dense state of the universe just 380,000 years after the Big Bang, a time known as the recombination era. At this point, the universe had cooled enough for protons and electrons to combine into neutral hydrogen atoms, allowing photons (light particles) to travel freely for the first time without being constantly scattered by charged particles.

My family is Thai Buddhist, and I was raised that way, so I can at least tell you about what it’s like for us.

The answer is, it depends. It depends on where you are, what kind of temple you’re at, if at all, and how far along you are in your, lets call it, career, as a monk.
