Is The Portrayal of the Wild West In Movies and TV Accurate?

June 8, 2023

wild west portrayal

The real wild west most often depicted was the time of the cattle drives and wild cattle towns. The truth of the matter is that period lasted only about twenty years. It started after the Civil War in 1866 when the demand for beef rose and wild cattle from Texas was the answer only there were no rail roads to take them east except those up north. So cattle drives began to satisfy the demand for beef.

gorilla selfie

Park ranger takes a selfie with the orphaned gorillas Nkakazi and Ndeze

The image was taken at a gorilla orphanage in Virunga National Park, DR Congo, where the animals were raised after poachers killed their parents.

The gorillas were just two and four months old at the time.

Because they’ve grown up with the rangers who rescued them, Mr Mburanumwe added, “they are imitating the humans” – and standing on two legs is their way of “learning to be human beings”.

Compliment her efforts, and if you make her blush, even better.

14 Relationship Hacks That Every Couple Needs To Know

June 7, 2023

1. Here’s one, tested and approved. Keep a small notebook, well hidden from her, and from time to time, write down a note about something she liked, wanted to buy, a place she wanted to go or something she wanted to do. Keep the dates as well. Then, on a special occasion or when you can afford it (timewise as well as moneywise), get her that little something she wanted to buy or take her out to that restaurant she fancied etc. The key is NOT to do this immediately after she asks for it but rather to wait long enough for “it” to leave her immediate thoughts. With this, she knows you care but more importantly, she knows you LISTEN.

Depressing Confession of the Day

June 7, 2023

My wife is not the woman I used to know. She let the fame get to her.

At that time, me and my wife were only friends, but she was there for me, and grieved with me. I think I started developing feelings for her during that time.
