Hey everyone today I’m going to share with you the most important knowledge that I’ve accumulated from starting 7 different companies, reading 55 books on business and personal development, and most importantly successfully breaking $1,000,000 in yearly revenue.
It may seem obvious to some but imagine the difference between an employee coming to you with a problem that you then have to figure out how to solve VS an employee coming to you with a problem they already have several solutions for and you simply need to choose (as the manager) which option you believe is best.
In my experience when most employees come across a problem they don’t know how to instantly solve they simply present it to their manager and wait for a response.
This does nothing other than concrete your managers opinion that you are unable to do their job and they subconsciously disqualify you from promotion, presenting them with multiple solutions to a problem however makes them feel they are in control whilst simultaneously considering you as an asset worthy of promotion or at the very least retention.

I won’t speak for all timeshares, but I have not found one that made financial sense to me. I’ve gone to about 6 pitches in my lifetime and they just don’t add up.
The biggest reason they don’t add up is all the fees. Sure, a $25K timeshare that you can use one week a year for 50 years makes sense in a vacuum. $500 per week is pretty sweet as far as resorts go.
Some people think that declawing is a simple surgery that removes a cats nails, this is not true. Declawing involves amputation of the last bone of each toe, removing claws changes the way a cats foot meets the ground and can cause pain similar to wearing an uncomfortable pair of shoes. There can also be regrowth of improperly removed claws, nerve damage and bone spurs. Most cats will become biters because they no longer have their claws as a defense. Cats scratch to remove dead husks from their claws, mark territory and stretch muscles.
Gurudwaras are the holy place of worship for the Sikh religion. People from all backgrounds and all faiths are always welcome into a gurudwara. In almost all gurudwaras around the world, they also offer free food (Langar) and a place to sleep if needed. The people are also extremely helpful and will do what they can to help you out.
In most interactions, everybody is heavily self-monitoring and will base their judgement of the success of the interaction on how people responded to them. If people laughed at their joke. If people found their anecdote interesting or shocking. If people agreed with their opinion.
So the upshot for people who are shy or worry that they’re boring is: you don’t need to put so much pressure on yourself. Honestly most times all you need to do is take an interest in whoever you’re talking to. Listen. Ask questions/follow-up questions. Laugh at their jokes. And they’ll come out of it thinking you were a really cool person to talk to, when actually what they mean is you made them feel like a really cool person to talk to.
Discovering this seemingly silly tip a couple years ago has been so helpful for me in becoming a more likeable person. I always wondered why no one asked for my opinion on things and it wasn’t until I was told this exact thing that it hit me. Now a couple years later, I see I got the habit from my Dad. Every thought and opinion he has on something makes it sound like it’s the worst thing in the world, and admittedly why our family never asks him for his opinion.
