empire strikes back cloud city

Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford were drunk in the scene where Leia and Solo arrive at Cloud City in “The Empire Strikes Back” due to partying all night into the morning with the Rolling Stones and Eric Idle.

“Eric Idle rented me his house [during the filming of The Empire Strikes Back], but then he stayed at the house as well, and one night he invited the Rolling Stones over. You know how that happens? It was like [sarcastically] ‘Oh my God, again?’

“I said to Harrison [Ford], ‘The Rolling Stones are going to come over!’ And we had a really early call the following morning, but you have to measure the fun – Rolling Stones, or early call? Rolling Stones, or early call? And we decided on both.

dolly parton boob meeting

Dolly Parton used to stop business meetings “for a minute” so that the men could stare at her boobs.

In a bid to stop potential clients from spending her whole pitch gazing at her chest, she would kick off the meetings by giving them 60 seconds to get their fix before they had to give her their full attention.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said: “Everybody wants to look. I always understood guys would want to look at my boobs.

“I would say in a business meeting: ‘I’ll give you a minute to look at these but then I want you to listen to what I have to say because I’m here to make money for all of us.’ “

Marianne Bachmeier

On March 6, 1981, Marianne Bachmeier opened fire in a courthouse in West Germany. She was aiming for the murderer of her 7-year-old daughter — and she shot him six times. As she was dragged from the courtroom, Bachmeier was reportedly heard mumbling, “Unfortunately, I only got the pig from behind.”

On May 5, 1980, Anna Bachmeier skipped school to meet with a classmate friend, though she first visited the apartment of neighbor Klaus Grabowski (35) to play with his cats. Grabowski had been convicted of child molestation twice before, and eventually volunteered for chemical castration in 1976. The process inhibits the libido of the patient with the hopes they will not reoffend. It was later revealed Grabowski had begun hormone treatments to reverse the effects of the castration.

Lockheed Martin Gen III Helmet

The helmet shell combines Kevlar, the material used in bulletproof vests, and carbon-fiber cloth, formed by applying resin under high heat to a synthetic fiber. The checkerboard pattern comes from a plain weave of the carbon fiber interlaced at 90-degree angles to form a product that is ultralight – 4.8 pounds – and 50 times stronger than carbon steel. The helmet’s polycarbonate visor protrudes like a light bulb, but the shell is otherwise more streamlined than previous helmets and integrates features such as night-vision goggles, which once required fixing separate hardware to an external attachment point. The helmet’s foam inner shell requires at least four hours of custom fitting to each pilot before it’s cut by laser; the precision ensures that its eye tracking and visor display stay aligned even during high-G maneuvers.
