Web 3 is an idea for a new iteration of the World Wide Web which incorporates concepts such as decentralization, blockchain technologies, and token-based economics.
Let’s break it down:

And it would have been a blood bath for the invaders. I personally question how much of Japan or Japanese culture would have survived such an invasion.
If the US had landed in Kyushu as originally planned, they would have been fighting against about 1,000,000 well fortified troops; troops that were well dug in. The Japanese would have been heavily bombed and heavily shelled for months, and it still would have been hell for the invaders and death for the defenders. Just like the battle of Okinawa, the Japanese would have lost inflicting horrible casualties.
Techniques used in conversion (or reparative) therapy went from the truly abhorrent to the merely reprehensible.
In the twentieth century prefrontal lobotomies were sometimes performed on people considered to be too resistant for less restrictive treatments.
Aversive therapy wasn’t uncommon. A behavioral modification technique, it was based on associating any gay related feeling or arousal with a very panful, accompanying response.
Clockwork Orange and Alex’s reprogramming is an example of this technique. Electro-shock therapy, nausea inducing drugs, sleep deprivation, chemical castration were all part of a varied treatment arsenal.

About 1-3 hours of that time is taken to get the patient under general anesthesia. This may involve placing monitors for blood pressure management and big catheters for blood transfusions and administering drugs. The patient has to be put to sleep and the breathing tube placed. At the end of the surgery the patient has to wake up from the drugs and the breathing tube taken out (if this is planned).

Son, love is… strange. The very first time you ever feel it, it’s like a whole new world has been opened. Your head starts spinning like a propellor on a plane, your heart soaring just like that aircraft. You can construct beautiful sentences in your head, but the second you start talking to this girl, they get jumbled up and you end up stammering out a combination of mixed up words. Those words start winding around your brain and pulling a knot, making it impossible to think, and you eventually end up walking away, your cheeks as red as the blood that your heart is pumping through your body at a million beats per second. And it’s beautiful.

Why was Connie Corleone so upset over the death of her husband, Carlo Rizzi, considering all the abuse to which he subjected her, and even more so, his direct involvement in the death of Sonny Corleone?
For a number of reasons: The man she loved, and the father of her children, was dead. And Connie knew, way down deep inside — though she refused to admit it to herself for years — that Carlo was the reason Sonny was murdered on the Long Beach Causeway. Which means, she also knew — again, way down deep inside — that Carlo had it coming. She had simply hoped her position as the daughter of Vito and Carmela Corleone would insulate Carlo.
