Confessions of a Former Vending Machine Business Owner

January 12, 2024

vending machine business

How much does each machine make monthly? Gross vs net.

My numbers are going to be estimates, since I was dumb and didnt do much inventory management (each snack had a different profit margin)

Machines in my good locations (which weren’t great locations, just good ones) would gross about $300 and net about $240.

What is a Hostile Takeover of a Corporation?

August 14, 2023

In business generally the way that one company takes over another is through negotiations, contracts, and payment. Look at it like this: Company A wants to obtain Company B. Company A and B begin having discussions where Company A outlines all of the advantages of being acquired by Company A (e.g. easier access to resources, streamlined processes, a stronger legal department to protect against lawsuits, etc.) until eventually an agreement is made and Company A takes over Company B.

I’m not even trying to really scale up right now. I also run a (fairly successful) online ACT tutoring service and have been mowing a lot of lawns as well.
