1. No particular straw and I wouldn’t say “swore it off”. But a long time of bad experiences and rejection/failure (and subsequently reflecting on the pain that it caused me) just slowly but steadily made me arrive at the point where I’ve given up and have stopprd caring altogether.

I would probably compare it to an aspring musician who eventually came to the realization that he was never going to make it big, so he just moved on with his life and got a “normal” job.

Beware of the Venmo Scam

How the Scam Works:

The scam typically begins with a notification that you’ve received a payment from an unknown sender. The message, often accompanied by a note from the sender, claims that the transfer was a mistake. In a rush to rectify the situation, the scammer requests that you return the money immediately.

However, the catch is that the original transaction is fraudulent or made with a stolen credit card. Once you send your own money back, the initial transaction is reversed or canceled, and you’re left out of pocket.

Poll of the Day

I just got back from my first vacation with my boyfriend. After the trip, my boyfriend wanted us to split the cost 50:50( even every little thing we bought, like bottled water at the airport or a $3.17 Musubi). Everything needs to be precisely like if on the bill he didn’t eat that food, he won’t share, or if on the bill I don’t drink coffee, he will minus it for me .

He has a full-time job, while I am a full-time student with a part-time job. He thinks it’s fair to split everything 50:50, but I don’t agree. I believe we should still share expenses, but not necessarily split them exactly in half.

For example, if I paid for the airfare, he could pay for the hotel, or if he bought food, I could pay for the drinks. I feel like splitting everything 50:50 is more like a friendship than a romantic relationship. What do you guys think? Do you think my boyfriend’s approach is fair?
