You get married and then it’s living happily ever after, right? Well…

A few months after we were married, my wife came home from Target with a couple of large shopping bags.

“What did you buy this time?!”

No, I didn’t say that out loud. I’m not that stupid.

But the thought did run through my mind, and it concerned me.

Why was I so upset over a trip to Target? I love Allison! I trust her, and I know she’s responsible.

She didn’t come home with a new car. She didn’t gamble away all our savings. So what’s the big deal?

Ninety years ago on June 11, 1930, the four Hunter brothers began their journey to break the world record for Duration in an airplane with a flight that was to last an incredible 23 days.

The roles of the brothers were defined as follows: John and Kenneth were the pilots of record plane the City of Chicago, while Albert and Walter worked as the refuelling crew in the Big Ben. Together, they remained airborne for 553h 41m 30s, on a distance equivalent to one and a half times around the world.

Taking off from Sky Harbour Airport, USA, on June 11, the City of Chicago, a Stinson-Detroiter aircraft, landed on July 4, 1930, at the same location, eventually forced to land because of technical issues.

In an era where technology advances at a rapid pace, Texas Instruments’ graphing calculators like the TI-83 and TI-84 seem to be stuck in the past. Launched in 1996 and 2004 respectively, these calculators have remained largely unchanged, featuring a 6 MHz processor, non-rechargeable batteries, and a screen reminiscent of an old Game Boy. Surprisingly, their price has also remained stable, costing around $100, unlike other outdated gadgets that typically decrease in price.
