kevin nash and scott hall

Kevin Nash pays a tribute to Scott Hall, who is currently on life support.

Scott’s on life support. Once his family is in place they will discontinue life support. I’m going to lose the one person on this planet I’ve spent more of my life with than anyone else. My heart is broken and I’m so very fucking sad. I love Scott with all my heart but now I have to prepare my life without him in the present. I’ve been blessed to have a friend that took me at face value and I him. When we jumped to WCW we didn’t care who liked or hated us. We had each other and with the smooth Barry Bloom we changed wrestling both in content and pay for those……alot that disliked us. We were the “Outsiders ” but we had each other. Scott always felt he wasn’t worthy of the afterlife. Well God please have some gold plated toothpicks for my brother. My life was enriched with his take on life. He wasn’t perfect but as he always said “The last perfect person to walk the planet they nailed to a cross ” As we prepare for life without him just remember there goes a great guy you ain’t going to see another one like him again. See Ya down the road Scott. I couldn’t love a human being any more than I do you

taylor-camp

In 1969, Taylor Camp, a hippie colony, was established in Hawaii taking in anyone who wanted to escape the craziness of the period and reaching about to 120 resident. Residents lived in make-shift homes and clothing was optional

In 1969 Howard Taylor (Elizabeth Taylor’s brother) owned seven acres on Kauai’s North Shore and invited a group of young men, women, and children who had recently been arrested for vagrancy—the 13 original colonists, so to speak—to set up camp there.

One of the world’s best snipers has arrived in Ukraine. The French-Canadian “Wali” from the Royal Canadian 22e Régiment made his reputation during tours in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq.

The 40-year-old, who became a computer scientist after two deployments to Afghanistan as a sniper with the Canadian Armed Forces between 2009 and 2011, will join an ever-growing contingent of foreign fighters responding to a call launched Saturday by the Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky:

“All foreigners wishing to join the resistance against the Russian occupiers and protect international security are invited by the Ukrainian government to come to our territory to join the ranks of our territorial forces.”

Ejnar Mikkelsen

After they were abandoned by the rest of their expedition in 1910, Ejnar Mikkelsen and one inexperienced crew mate were forced to spend 28 months alone in the Arctic wilds of Greenland.

On June 20, 1909, Danish explorer Ejnar Mikkelsen set out for Greenland with a crew of six men. Their mission was to recover the diaries and maps from a ship that had gone missing two years earlier. By August, they had reached their destination, about 200 miles south of the last-known location of two of the expedition’s crew members. Over the next four months, they traversed over ice floes and deep snow to find some trace of them before returning to their ship for the winter in late December.

big nose george shoes

The first democratic governor in Wyoming’s history made, and wore a pair of human skin shoes.

George Francis Warden, a.k.a. George Parrot, a.k.a. “Big Nose George,” was a horse thief and a train robber. In 1878, after a botched hold-up, he and his gang killed a couple of lawmen and fled to Montana. “If he’d kept his big mouth shut he wouldn’t of got caught,” said Ilene Hanson, an assistant at the museum. “But he got to bragging.”

cheryl crane

Cheryl Crane, the daughter of actress Lana Turner, stabbed one of her mother’s boyfriends to death during a domestic struggle at the age of 14 in 1958. It was considered a justifiable homicide and she was deemed to have been protecting her mother.

At approximately 8:00 p.m. on April 4, eight days after the Academy Awards ceremony, Johnny Stompanato arrived at Lana Turner’s rented home at 730 North Bedford Drive in Beverly Hills, California, which she had just begun leasing a week prior.

The two began arguing heatedly in the bedroom, during which Stompanato threatened to kill Turner, her daughter, and her mother, as well as making "gangster threats" that involved breaking Turner’s bones and slashing her face with a straight razor.

The people of Kiyv, Ukraine evacuating the capital after Russia begins their invasion

Russia launched a wide-ranging attack on Ukraine on Thursday, hitting cities and bases with airstrikes or shelling, as civilians piled into trains and cars to flee. Ukraine’s government said Russian tanks and troops rolled across the border in a “full-scale war” that could rewrite the geopolitical order and whose fallout already reverberated around the world.

In unleashing Moscow’s most aggressive action since the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979, President Vladimir Putin deflected global condemnation and cascading new sanctions — and chillingly referred to his country’s nuclear arsenal. He threatened any foreign country attempting to interfere with “consequences you have never seen.”
