Charles Osborne was born in 1893, but his hiccups didn’t start until 1922, when he was a 29-year-old farmer. They began one day while Osborne was preparing to butcher a hog in Union, Nebraska.
This photograph was taken three days after the Normandy beachhead was established, on June 9th, 1944, and shows the colossal scale of the operation to transport men and material for the liberation of Europe.

The P1 belongs to Instagram user Lambo9286, whose real name is Ernie. As mentioned before, he had just taken ownership of the car a week ago, and was quite excited about it, posting it 12 times between then and now.
Ernie’s car was one of only 375 P1s ever built, and it’s estimated to be worth in excess of $1.5 million. He also lost his Rolls-Royce Phantom, which could be seen sitting next to the P1 in the garage, but we’d imagine he’d be grieving the loss of his new McLaren a bit more.
On February 16, 2009, 911 dispatchers in Stamford, Connecticut received a call so shocking it took them several minutes to even understand what was happening.
Sandra Herold frantically screamed into the phone that her friend Charla Nash was being viciously attacked and eaten alive — by her pet chimpanzee Travis.
Herold begged the dispatcher to send police immediately and said they needed to bring guns to shoot the mad chimp.
Throughout the entire horrifying call, dispatchers could hear Travis’ enraged screams in the background as the attack continued.
Finally, emergency services arrived at Herold’s home and found Charla Nash completely covered in blood on the ground, her face all but ripped off and her fingers strewn about the ground around her.

Mahsa Amini, 22, fell into a coma last week, hours after morality police held her for allegedly breaking hijab rules.
She was detained outside a metro station in Tehran on Tuesday by morality police. They accused her of breaking the law requiring women to cover their hair with a headscarf, and their arms and legs with loose clothing.
