Don’t Ever Work for Someone You Don’t Want to Become

January 11, 2024

In an era where job satisfaction and career progression dominate professional discourse, a timeless piece of wisdom resonates more profoundly than ever: “Don’t ever work for someone you don’t want to become.” This adage, more than just career advice, is a guiding principle for those seeking not just a job, but a path to personal and professional fulfillment.

Leadership, in any organization, is more than a position; it’s a reflection of values, ethics, and attitudes that permeate the workplace. When employees work under leaders who inspire them, they are not just following orders; they are absorbing lessons in professional growth and personal development. The importance of seeing a bit of oneself, or more importantly, who one aspires to be, in their superiors cannot be overstated.

Ever heard the saying, “You can’t get there unless you know where you’re going?” It’s not just travel advice, folks, it’s the life motto we should all be chanting in the shower. And speaking of clarity, the most powerful compass you’ll ever find isn’t magnetic – it’s a paintbrush. Yes, I’m talking about painting a picture of your ideal future. Therapy Session of the Day

January 5, 2024

I have a good friend whom I known for all my life of 40 years. About a few years ago our lives drifted further away, as I stopped partying and he continued the lifestyle. In the past I would make the effort to hang out with him often, however, I have avoided him for the past year. I see on social media still partying and living that lifestyle and it makes me want to avoid him even more. I feel guilty about not making the effort even though he reaches out and wants to connect.

Have you ever felt like life is a zero-sum game? That for you to win, someone else has to lose? Like opportunities, love, and success are finite resources doled out in miserly portions? If so, my friend, you might be trapped in the clutches of the dreaded scarcity mindset.

What Does Confidence Look Like To A Woman?

January 4, 2024

mature man

Physically, confident guys are much more calm or deliberate in their movements. There’s not tonnes of figiting etc. They just seem to be able to settle into a position and become relaxed.

This also goes for walking – which comes across as more deliberate and natural.

They’re also not generally concerned about how much space they occupy.

Not like, randomly sprawling, but just able to keep square shoulders and longer strides.

Why Complaining Does Absolutely Nothing for You

December 28, 2023

Oh, the sweet siren song of the whine. It’s easy to slip into, isn’t it? Stuck in traffic? Complain. Rainy day? Complain. Burnt toast? Complain, complain, complain! We vent, we kvetch, we unleash a symphony of dissatisfaction that fills the air and, unfortunately, gets us absolutely nowhere.

But here’s the truth bomb: complaining is a dead-end street. It’s a time-sucking black hole that saps our energy, fuels negativity, and keeps us locked in a stagnant state of unfulfilled potential. It’s a habit, yes, but one we can (and should) break.
