Confessions of a General Manger of a Ferrari Dealership

March 14, 2024

Jay Leno mentioned once that he doesn’t own a Ferrari because they prefer that you have had one or currently own one. True?

Yes and No. For the most part to get a real special car like a 812 Competition you need to be part of the club and pretty much buy everything. Regular cars like a 296 or SF90 you need to have a good relationship with the dealer.

Twilight Zone - Miniature

In a world where connection seems just a click away, the paradox of loneliness, particularly among young men, has never been more pronounced.

This phenomenon finds a haunting mirror in the classic “Twilight Zone” episode “Miniature.” This Rod Serling-penned story, first aired in 1963, is a poignant commentary on isolation and the longing for a connection that seems increasingly elusive in today’s digital age.

15 Insiders Reveal Their Industry Secrets

March 1, 2024

1. I worked at a newspaper processing obituaries, and it was crazy how much funeral homes tried to rip people off.

Obits are expensive. Like, $400 for a single day expensive. And they are priced by the word. We had funeral homes who would send us obits with all the commas and periods separated to make full new words. The homes would get the estimate from our website and use that for billing the grieving family. We would edit the obit to meet English standards, which would reduce the word count substantially, dropping the price. In other words, they charged for the estimate but got billed for the edit.

Little House on the Praire

For nine seasons, viewers tuned in to follow the wholesome adventures of the Ingalls family as they navigated life in the American Midwest. What the Movie Robocop Was Really Trying to Say

Robocop - Bitches Leave

In 1987, audiences were introduced to a futuristic Detroit, a city plagued by crime and corporate greed, through the lens of Paul Verhoeven’s “RoboCop.”

At first glance, the film might seem like a straightforward action-packed sci-fi thriller, but beneath its metallic exterior lies a biting satire that delves deep into the socio-political issues of the era.

How Many Red Flags Can You Spot?

February 28, 2024

I am a F (39) who became pregnant in my last relationship (birth control failure). Roe vs Wade was overturned about a week before I found out, though I really don’t know what I would have chosen.

Irregardless, that relationship has ended, and I am ready to enter the dating scene again. I’m not getting any younger, after all! And admittedly it would be nice to not go through it alone.

I just don’t know if there’s any point in putting myself out there while I’m still pregnant… should I wait until after the baby is born and recovery is finished? Or would you date a woman who was already pregnant when you met? Any advice or feedback is much appreciated!

For info, I just started my last trimester (with a boy) if it’s relevant, and I have 3 older children from a previous marriage F(15), F(13), and F(5). So I would obviously only be dating someone who was ok with children in the first place.
