How Comparison Robs Us of Happiness
We’ve all been there – scrolling through social media or hearing about a friend’s accomplishments, only to feel worse about ourselves afterwards. This phenomenon of comparing our lives, status, looks or achievements to others often leaves us drained of happiness and satisfaction. Comparison truly can be the thief of joy if we let it.
What is Tranq?
Xylazine, commonly known as “Tranq,” is an animal tranquilizer that is increasingly being found in the illegal drug supply, particularly in opioids like fentanyl and in cocaine. Its emergence is alarming health professionals and outreach workers due to its dangerous effects and the difficulty in treating overdoses.
The Growing Emergence of Tranq
Tranq first surged in areas of Puerto Rico and then in Philadelphia, where it was found in a staggering 91% of opioid samples in a recent period. In Massachusetts, data from January to mid-June shows that xylazine was present in 28% of drug samples tested. This infiltration into the drug supply is causing concern because xylazine is not approved for human use and is associated with a number of health risks.

Phalaris is said to have commanded that the bull be designed in such a way that its smoke rose in spicy clouds of incense.

In a disheartening display of greed and poor example-setting, a viral video captured three adults and their children clearing out an entire bowl of Halloween candy from the home of Whiskey Myers guitarist Cody Tate.
The footage, which Tate shared on social media, shows the adults hastily stuffing their bags and shirts with full-size candy bars, followed by several children and teenagers who joined in the frenzy.
This incident, caught on a Nest camera and shared on Instagram, not only showcases a blatant disregard for the clear “Please take 1” sign but also serves as a live lesson in dishonesty to the young ones involved.
