I’m a resident of Melrose/Fairfax and own a biz in Weho. What I saw last night was not a protest.
I saw mom and pop shops I personally know looted. This wasn’t one group I saw hundreds if not thousands of kids robbing the very businesses that would rally behind them. I saw butcher get robbed, I saw a nail salon robbed. You didn’t get me woke to anything, if anything I am more conflicted on lines than ever. They destroyed my community for sneakers and hoodies last night. Please keep these businesses in your thoughts, as most of us are mom and pops sorry for rant but I’m heart broken

Blind Willie Johnson Has Left The Solar System…The bluesman’s ‘Dark Was The Night, Cold Was The Ground’ is now more than 13,811,000,000 miles from Earth.
A few years ago, Voyager 1 crossed the termination shock, 8 billion miles away. Voyager, in case it’s ever encountered by extra-terrestrials, is carrying photos of life on Earth, greetings in 55 languages and a collection of music from Gregorian chants to Chuck Berry. Including "Dark Was The Night, Cold Was The Ground" by ’20s bluesman Blind Willie Johnson, whose stepmother blinded him when he was seven by throwing lye in is his eyes after his father had beat her for being with another man. He died, penniless, of pneumonia after sleeping bundled in wet newspapers in the ruins of his house that burned down……But his music has left the solar system.
