How Do People Die In Car Accidents?

December 3, 2020

By Roger Aldridge

How do people die in motor “accidents”?

I’ll tell you.

Some people explode — like a thin plastic envelope full of offal which has been hurled against a brick wall. No pain.

They put them on a sheet of canvas and pick it up at the corners like, as one tow truck driver described it: “A tub of guts”

I haven’t seen one of these.

Others die intact. Ruptured inside, you understand, but un-harmed to look at. There may be a thin, trickle of blood from an ear or nostril.

.950 JDJ – Largest Center-Fire Rifle Ever Made. This gun is larger than a .50 cal and larger than the famed T-Rex

The round is .95 inches in diameter, and weighs a staggering 3600 grains (8 ounces, half a pound).

The rifle is a single-shot bolt action rifle, weighing about 110 pounds, 18 of which is the muzzle brake.

The bullet has a muzzle velocity of 2,200 feet per second, and generates 38,685 lbs/ft of energy. It also generates a recoil impulse of 200 lbs/ft, or about 13 times the recoil energy of a .308 Winchester. This recoil is FAR beyond the capability of most humans to tolerate, and can in fact cause severe or even fatal injuries. To compensate for this, the rifles are typically fired from a lead sled type shooting rest. The rifle costs about $17,000 by itself, and each round costs nearly $80.

WWE And WCW Salaries From Back In The Day

wwe salaries

The Ultimate Warrior earned in excess of $2 million per year as a WWF headlinerin 1990-1991 (he specifically received a one-night payoff in excess of $650,000 for his match with Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania VI, and a one-night payoff of $550,000 for his bout with Randy Savage at Wrestlemania VII). In order to lure him out of retirement in 1998, WCW had to pay Warrior $1 million upfront.

The Iron Sheik was reputedly offered $100,000 by AWA promoter Verne Gagne to double-cross and legitimately injure Hulk Hogan in thier WWF title match on January 23, 1984 at Madison Square Garden. To preserve his relationship with Vince Mcmahon jr. and Hogan, Sheik declined Gagne’s alleged offer.

Sid ‘Vicious’ Eudy was offered a three-year contract by WCW, worth $400,000 per annum, in early 1991. Eudy rejected the deal and signed a contract with the WWF.

chinese foot binding

A Chinese woman whose feet, known as lotus feet, were bound in the late 1800’s – Foot binding was the Chinese custom of breaking and tightly binding the feet of young girls in order to change the shape and size of their feet, considered a status symbol and a mark of beauty

Foot-binding is said to have been inspired by a tenth-century court dancer named Yao Niang who bound her feet into the shape of a new moon. She entranced Emperor Li Yu by dancing on her toes inside a six-foot golden lotus festooned with ribbons and precious stones. In addition to altering the shape of the foot, the practice also produced a particular sort of gait that relied on the thigh and buttock muscles for support. From the start, foot-binding was imbued with erotic overtones. Gradually, other court ladies—with money, time and a void to fill—took up foot-binding, making it a status symbol among the elite.
