What’s So Different About Zack Snyder’s Directors Cut of Justice League?

February 15, 2021

pu yi

Zack Snyder shot 5 hours of assembly footage during principle photography in 2016. From that, he edited it to 214 mins(3.5 hours) and was happy to call it his director’s cut. clean your room

Cleaning consistently is a game-changer

A month ago I finished A Monk’s Guide to a Clean House and Mind by Shoukei Matsumoto, and it has had a pretty sizable impact on my focus, productivity, and well-being.

Like many, I have had good weeks and bad weeks trying to better myself and instill new habits. Until I started cleaning regularly I didn’t realize that merely having a messy room, no matter whether I was in it or not, was affecting how I treated my habits, my relationships, and myself. For me, cleaning is now the foundation for all of my other habits.

Why Is Wrestling The Most Important Skill To Have In MMA?

February 12, 2021

Joe Rogan on wrestling:

“We said it a million times but it bears repeating. Wrestling is the greatest skill to have in MMA because wrestling dictates where the fight takes place.

On top of that, amateur wrestling training is so unbelievably grueling that the guys who get through it are the guys who rise to the top are the elite of the elite when it comes to mental toughness. That is a huge part of fighting. Mental toughness and focus and the ability to work hard to achieve goals under exceedingly insurmountable circumstances.”

Nobody is going to do life for you

Nobody is going to do life for you

You have to do it yourself, whether you’re rich or poor, out of money or raking it in, the beneficiary of ridiculous fortune or terrible injustice. And you have to do it no matter what is true. No matter what is hard. No matter what unjust, sad, sucky things befall you. Self-pity is a dead-end road. You make the choice to drive down it. It’s up to you to decide to stay parked there or to turn around and drive out.”

What Was It Like In The Trenches Of World War 1?

February 11, 2021

trench warfare world war 1

It’s not nearly as dramatic as you may think. The unfortunate truth for Hollywood is that most of WWI was sitting around improving defenses and doing basically nothing.

The conditions were horrific the entire time for most parts but you were not constantly getting out of trenches and charging enemies most of the time.

One of the biggest jobs of men on the front is to constantly check, repair and lay down barbed wire outside of their trenches. This was generally done at night for obvious reasons and generally required hundreds of men to cover the workers doing this.
