There is a perfect storm of conditions that lead to these shootings, I think.
Isolation. Social Alienation.The only place to vent or find comfort is in radical communities.
Feeling powerless day to day. Anger towards those around you. Distrust of the systems you operate in or in the social support systems that you should be able to rely on.
Feeling things will never get better.Lack of emotional awareness or proper emotional outlets.

It’s great to tell someone that you love them, that you want to be with them, or that you care about them. But how do you actually show them that you love them with actions?

Especially for men, it can be hard to show our romantic feelings to our partners.
Misunderstandings of masculine culture trick us into thinking that love is weak and that showing our feelings is bad when in reality, it’s the opposite.

In 2006, a man in Portland, Oregon hired a hitman to kill his 51-year-old wife, Susan Kuhnhausen. She ended up killing the hitman with her bare hands. When she had her hands on his neck she asked him, “TELL ME WHO SENT YOU HERE AND I WILL CALL YOU A FUCKING AMBULANCE!”
For many people, the presence of an intruder brandishing a hammer in a darkened bedroom would prompt an entirely understandable response. They’d run.
But Susan wasn’t most people. An emergency room nurse for nearly 30 years, she had disarmed injured men, helped crack open people’s chests to perform heart massages, and administered IVs in patients thrashing from drug withdrawal. She and all the other nurses at Providence trained regularly in self defense, learning how to slip out of headlocks and clutches.
Beware of the Pig Butchering Scam
I would like to do a PSA for people unaware of this crypto-romance scam that made me a victim on 5/20. I am humiliated, embarrassed, ashamed, and betrayed both financially and more importantly, emotionally.
I write this now as it is still fresh in my mind so that others don’t experience what I just went through. Overall I’ve lost $50k USD and there is information on YouTube, the news, and Google if you search up Pig Butchering Scam but I was unaware of this beforehand.
