Confessions of a Sugar Daddy

May 2, 2023

What factors led to you deciding to go down this route as opposed to traditional dating?

I find traditional dating too restrictive, jealousy, and constant desire to move forward, dating, moving in, marriage, sugarlife has none of that. The sugar life is more open and honest. Life fun friends with benefits. They don’t want to marry me knowing I am sleeping with two other girls, but they are fine walking into the relationship knowing that I see other people and am clean and safe about it.

The Best Way to Change Someone’s Mind

May 2, 2023

the best way to change someones mind

Meet Daryl Davis.

Daryl is a seasoned black American musician who’s played with some of the best. He also hangs out with KKK members.

For decades, he’s set out to change the minds of those who hate him most.

Instead of confronting them with hateful words, he sits down with them. Hears their story. Even laughs with them.

By being a good friend, Daryl shows Klan members just how wrong they are about the race they claim to despise. And he’s been responsible for over 200 members leaving the group and giving up their racist ways.

We should all try to be more like Daryl.

The Room in Which Hitler and Eva Braun Committed Suicide

On January 16, 1945, Hitler established his residence in the Führerbunker, which served as the hub of the Nazi regime until the final days of World War II in Europe. It was also the location of Hitler’s marriage to Eva Braun on April 29, 1945, less than two days before their suicides.

Following the war, the Soviets demolished both the old and new Chancellery buildings, while the underground complex remained mostly intact, despite some attempts at destruction. However, during the reconstruction of the surrounding area in Berlin in 1988-89, the excavated parts of the old bunker complex were largely destroyed. The site was left unmarked until 2006, when a small plaque with a schematic diagram was installed. Although some of the bunker’s corridors still exist, they are inaccessible to the public due to being sealed off.

How To Use Your Fear To Your Advantage

May 2, 2023

Fear has the potential to be debilitating. When we are afraid of failure, rejection, or uncertainty, it can leave us feeling stuck and powerless. Our own minds can become a prison, leading us to feel unsatisfied and frustrated. However, fear can also serve a purpose. From a survival standpoint, fear can prevent us from engaging in activities that might be dangerous, such as jumping off a 16-story building if we have a fear of heights. Furthermore, fear can act as a powerful motivator. If we channel our energy in a positive direction, the fear of not achieving our goals or falling short of our aspirations can propel us forward.

Why Is Doctor Doom Regarded So Highly Among Marvel Fans?

“I AM DOOM… DESTROYER OF WORLDS… WHAT GODS DARE STAND AGAINST ME?”

-DR. DOOM

Because Doom is a villain that is not a villain.

In short he was raised in a monarchy by Gypsy parents, both of whom died at an early age. His mother was a sorceress who was killed by a mob. Taking up her practices he battled Satan (Mephisto) yearly to try to save her soul from eternal damnation, and each year he would fail. In his mid teens he started a revolution against the oppressive regime until he got a scholarship to Empire State University.

How Much Harder Are Classes At An Ivy League School Compared To A Community College Or A State School?

May 1, 2023

ivy league vs community college

I graduated from Dartmouth in the 1990s so my info may be old. I also have taken several classes in both the sciences and humanities at public state schools such UC Berkeley, the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and my local California State University. The main difference as many answers here have noted is not so much the materials, instructors or professors, but the students’ abilities. Rather than giving statistics which you can google, here are my personal undergraduate experiences.

charles_bell_tetanus

One of Charles Bell’s paintings of a casualty from the Battle of Corunna. It depicts a soldier suffering muscle contractions during the final stages of tetanus. The image was composed after Bell watched 3 soldiers suffer with the same condition

This drawing tells the wrinkled forehead; the elevated brow; the closed eye; the dilated nostril; the rigid masseter; the fixed jaw; the closed mouth; the corrugated lips; the bubbling saliva; the retracted head; the shortened neck; the starting cervical muscles; the turgid veins; the arched spine; the raised chest; the troubled breathing; the catching diaphragm; the heaving abdomen; the separated arm; the squared elbow; the bent wrist; the clenched fingers; the incurved thumb; the extended and separated legs; the bent down toes; the livid surface; the whole figure rigid as wood – a pitiful sight.

There Are No Silver Bullets

May 1, 2023

(photo: @seteales)

Three years now I have sat and waited. I’ve waited for my dreams to come to fruition. They haven’t. I’ve read books, watched videos, made plans, made better plans. My mindset has changed, and I can’t discount the value in that at all. I actually believe that mindset change is the first crucial step towards achievement. But that doesn’t mean I’ve reached those goals I’ve written down time and time again.
