DAVE GROHL: Well, you know, that was a great era for recording equipment. The late ’60s and the ’70s, a lot of this really beautiful equipment was being made and installed into studios around the world and the Neve boards were considered like the Cadillacs of recording consoles.

Called “MTV 2095” the synth pop drenched garage rock single draws on music from the ’60s and into the early 2000’s. MTV 2095 addresses the future in a fun way referencing “digital Japan,” as a stand-in for an exotic future destination.

Called “Used to Be” the track is all about the complexities of romantic relationships that were especially heightened during lockdown. “Used to Be” thrills with reverb heavy guitars, velvety vocals and seductive synths.
One of the most original and creative albums of the 90’s. Musically creative and never a dull moment, OK Computer has aged incredibly well.

After Ice Cube left N.W.A over a financial dispute, his former group attacked him on their 100 Miles & Runnin and Efil4zaggin albums, likening Cube to American history’s most infamous traitor, Benedict Arnold. Cube responded with the extremely graphic “No Vaseline,” an exposé on Eazy E and Jerry Heller’s (N.W.A’s manager) shady business tactics, littered with gay and racial slurs.

The Pistols’ manager Malcolm McLaren fancied that he was making some sort of artistic statement through the look and style of the band as well as through their music, and he thought Sid represented the sort of nihilistic, destructive force he wanted punk to be. Plus he was a good looking lad (under all the hairspray and the sneer) who oozed danger and looked good with his shirt off.

Baroque pop artist Niagara Moon has just unleashed his latest track “Bad Vibes” and video. The song is a parody on paranoia and a satire on superstition, with how fear can lead to believing misinformation. His music is reminiscent of Beach Boys meets Thom Yorke with a Willy Wonka lens.
