What do you do?
I work in the Internet and Interactive Entertainment group of the bank, where we perform advisory mergers and acquisitions services and work to arrange financing for our clients through IPOs and by issuing debt (I help internet companies get access to piles of cash).
As a banker on the internet team, I get to work with the top brass at every possible website you can think of. Whenever you hear “xyz dot com is going to merge with abc”, you can bet that I’m involved.
What’s your opinion on “The War On Drugs”?
No different than a war on pedophiles or war on murderers or any other serious crime. Did you lose the war because there’s still pedophiles? No, it’s a war that will never end. And I’m okay with that.
Do we defund all the police because crime still exists?
How big is the risk? Is there a rough estimate on how big the risk is of being robbed?
Messengers being shot in the back of the head while loading cash into ATM is a common thing. Granted, your head needs to be on a swivel. If you allow someone to walk up on you like that…. that’s essentially you signing your own death certificate.

Can you describe your immediate thoughts and feelings upon winning?
Denial. I never thought I would win. I thought I was dreaming when I checked the numbers. I almost passed out during a conference call with the lottery officials and an estate lawyer when they told me I won the $40,000,000. I believed I was probably going to die before getting to spend it.
What did you do with the ticket immediately after finding out you had won? I would be so paranoid that I would lose it or something.
I hid it in a cereal box and contacted a lawyer.

What pushed you to do it?
A lot. Losing my girlfriend, the savings account we worked at for years, the business we created. Just exacerbated my anxiety and depression.

My father is worth just shy of $2 Billion liquid, and he’s on a rapid trajectory be worth significantly more.

My wife and I dated for 5 years before getting married, but decided to wait. (stupid looking back on it). On our wedding night things didn’t work out… Turns out she has severe vaginismus which means her muscles won’t allow penetration, therefore no sex.

What was the worst crime that someone was executed for while you were working there?
While we weren’t given any information on the inmates, sometimes certain inmates would stick out in my mind that I’d go home and find the information. The worst I found was one guy that killed a child, skinning it while it was still alive. I tried not talking to him anymore.

Around $500 million
Where does the family money come from?
My father made all of the money. It was more of a right place at the right time kind of situation. He joined a small firm 24 years ago and it has since grown to an international scale (management consulting).

What are most people there for?
Literally everything. Murder, drug dealers, child molesters, thieves, illegal immigrants, rapists. With the exception of terrorists, you name it, we’ve got em.
What is the one event you have witnessed or been part of that made you doubt your career path, and possibly the value of humanity?
Anything to do with child molesters. They are very narcissistic and believe in what they do. 9 out of 10 openly admit that they see nothing wrong with what they do and admit they will do it again.
