
Technically, inbreeding doesn’t cause genetic disorders. What inbreeding in fact does is 1) restrict variation in the gene pool and 2) increase the likelihood of recessive alleles being expressed.
There are two types of genes: dominant and recessive. Dominant genes always actually affect your body. Recessive ones only show up if you receive them from both parents.
