What Does It Feel Like To Be Stupid?

December 18, 2020

what does it feel like to be stupid

I had an arterial problem for a couple of years, which reduced blood supply to my heart and brain and depleted B vitamins from my nerves (to keep the heart in good repair). Although there is some vagueness as to the mechanisms, this made me forgetful, slow, and easily overwhelmed. In short, I felt like I was stupid compared to what I was used to, and I was.

It was frightening at first because I knew something wasn’t right but didn’t know what, and very worrying for my career because I was simply not very good any more.

Filipino seafarers saved 62 year old American, who was reported missing, and was found in the Atlantic Ocean clinging to the bow of his capsized boat.

A boater who was found Sunday clinging to his sinking vessel far off Florida’s Atlantic coastline told U.S. Coast Guard officials he didn’t think he would make it back to shore alive.

“I didn’t see anybody, I thought, this is it!” Stuart Bee said in a call with the Coast Guard released Monday night.

Bee, 62, had been reported missing on Friday after he departed from Cape Marina on his 32-foot boat.

Bee described having mechanical problems on the boat Saturday night, saying the engine was making squealing noises. He went to sleep and was woken up by water coming into the boat.

Car Thieves Completely Plunder Mercedes While Owner Is Sleeping

December 17, 2020

Paul Hampton was woken at 5am by a neighbor telling him to take a look at his car. He assumed he would find his C-Class AMG had been damaged, but instead saw it just a shell standing on bricks.

Thieves stole almost everything but the car itself. They got away with the doors, the hood, his seats, the tires, and even his trunk. The front bumper and headlights were partly removed, suggesting the crooks may have been disturbed and fled. According to the insurance company, the damage is 19k in total.

“I stepped outside the front door, I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing. They hadn’t damaged any panels and didn’t leave fingerprints. These seem to be professionals working in a team of five or six."

The Koss Porta Pros with the YAXI Earpads upgrade is a hard to beat combo for under $40

The sound of the Porta Pro is otherworldly, considering its tiny size and affordable price. Bass is powerful and punchy, but it doesn’t bleed into the mids. The mids are nice, smooth, and na\tural, with no hint of harshness or artificial grain. The highs are rolled off, but still detailed enough to hear, providing a rather relaxed, easy-listening type of sound that you could listen to for hours without fatigue.

What’s It Like To Regret Having Your Child?

December 16, 2020

I regret having my 9 year old with autism and oppositional defiance disorder every single day. She is very verbal and can be as sweet as a peach when she gets her way, but doing the hard work of parenting her correctly has been a nightmare.

She was an unwanted pregnancy when I was a dumb 20 year old. I was in a lot of psych meds before I realized I was pregnant that I think messed her brain up. I had taken plan B perfectly like on the instructions the one time I had unprotected sex, I figured that would have been the end of that worry. I didn’t realize I was pregnant until she was about 10 weeks gestation and immediately stopped taking my meds but alas. By the time I could get the money together for an abortion (the closest planned parenthood was a 7 hour drive so no-go there) the pregnancy was too far along. I wish I would have looked into adoption now.
