Complaining Has Zero Positive Impact On Your Life

July 6, 2023

Life isn’t fair.

Get the fuck over it.

Complaining has zero positive impact on your life.

You waste valuable time, you put yourself in a negative state of mind, make yourself really unattractive, and repel people like magnets because frankly…

No one else cares, nobody wants to hear about it.

Not your best friends. Not your mom. Not your girlfriend. No one.

Why You Should Meditate

June 29, 2023

meditation

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom – Viktor E. Frankl

Meditation is a great way to make that “space” bigger, as are several kinds of self reflection. Watching yourself in the moment, seeing where your thoughts take you without judgement, helps you to understand your own mind. It isn’t easy, and it takes time to develop this awareness of your own response, but over time your ability to change your response (in this case steer away from certain thoughts and toward better ones) does get better.

“Each day is a day of decision, and our decisions determine our destiny.” — Russell Nelson

You live your life in 24 hour periods. How you use those 24 hour periods determines who you become and how successful you’ll be.

If you learn to master your day, you’ll learn how to master your weeks, months, years, and life.

Why You Must Stop Overthinking & Start Taking Action

June 6, 2023

The only reason you haven’t started taking action yet is that you’re in analysis paralysis or afraid of what other people will think.

When you continue to analyze each possible outcome it stops you in your tracks. It’s normal to think things through till the end but when you stay in thinking mode you never take action. It’s okay to fail, you’ll get better anyway.

The Most Effective Way To Engage With New People

May 26, 2023

how to be social

As human beings, we naturally ping off the people around us to dictate how we should behave (unless you’re drugged out of your mind or something haha).

The people you talk to are subconsciously looking at your behavior to let them know how THEY should behave.

High Performers Are Successful As a Result of Consistent Action, Not Intense Effort.

creating habits

After a decade of setting goals every year and never achieving them, here’s what finally clicked:

High performers are successful as a result of consistent action, not intense effort.

This single realization led me to a framework for building habits that has changed my life.

Working from home last year made me realize that at 27, I had no good habits and zero self-discipline.

I was going to bed after 3am and sleeping past noon.

I wasn’t working out consistently.

I was browsing Reddit and watching Netflix for up to 10 hours a day.

I wasn’t doing any of the work needed to build my business…

I hated myself. The more promises I broke, the more worthless I felt, and the louder the voice in my head became:

Why can’t I fix this?

Why am I so weak?

This is how my dreams die.

Be Intentional When Using Your Digital Devices

April 13, 2023

phone addiction

The programming: Turn to a screen whenever you need something. Anxious? Upset? Lonely? Bored? The screen has what you need. Paw at the screen like it’s a slot machine. Trigger those hits of dopamine. Relish your superiority. It’s fine to take a spin on the hamster wheel of impulse gratification every once in a while. Where it kills you is when it becomes a way of life. When your every waking moment is filled with Instagram binges, and little tappy games, and refreshing your news apps, and texting friends, then — that’s where your dreams die.

13 Things You Experience When You Step Out of Your Comfort Zone

March 29, 2023

comfort zone

It doesn’t matter how old you are, what you have done or where you have been – at some point you will have to step out of your comfort zone. You know already whether you ever truly have or not. It is not so much a memory of a specific event, rather than an inner knowing. A mental toughness and emotional stability that tells the world that you can handle anything that it decides to throw at you. This solidity cannot be faked.

Would you like YOU if you met YOU?

March 15, 2023

Ask yourself this every morning, every now and then. We know you love yourself and that is very healthy. We all know you believe in the “nobody’s perfect” speech so I cannot be it all. But the question to you today is, if you met someone exactly like you;

What Is Meditation And How Can It Benefit Me?

March 10, 2023

benefits of meditation

There are a lot of misconceptions about mindfulness out there. I know that I believed a few of them when I first started meditating in the fall of 2017. As I’ve explored my meditation practice more deeply over the last couple of years, I’ve come to realize that the public perception of meditation is often inaccurate.
