Officers Pull Injured Pilot From Crashed Plane Moments Before Train Smashes Into It

The pilot of a Cessna 172 is lucky to be alive after crashing his plane onto a railroad track in California. Authorities said the plane lost power shortly after takeoff. The pilot, who was not identified, was forced to attempt an emergency landing on Metrolink tracks in Los Angeles.
The pilot, who was the sole occupant in the aircraft, was left dazed and bloodied from the crash and was trapped in the cockpit as a train was barreling down the tracks. Officers with the Foothill Division of the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene and managed to pull the pilot from the plane seconds before a train crashed into the single-engine plane, completely obliterating it.

Why Are Nail Salons Predominantly Owned By Vietnamese?

It all started 40 years ago thanks to a Hollywood actress. After the fall of Saigon in 1975, Tippi Hedren, an actress famous for starring in Alfred Hitchcock’s movies in the 1960s, visited a Vietnamese refugee camp in Sacramento.
When she noticed the women there admired her long, polished nails, she recognized an opportunity to teach them a new trade: manicure.
It made a lot of sense: a manicure business demands very little capital to start, and good English communication isn’t a required skill for manicurists.

The car of a missing college student and skeletal remains were found in Georgia this week in an unsolved four-decade-old missing persons case, authorities said on Wednesday.
On January 27, 1976, 22-year-old Kyle Clinkscales was last seen leaving a bar in LaGrange, Georgia in his white 1974 Pinto Runabout to head back to Auburn University for classes.
Clinkscales never arrived on campus and was never seen or heard from again.
On Dec. 8, law enforcement confirmed they had found Clinkscales’ car in a creek off County Road 83 near Cusseta, Alabama in Chambers County.
The car’s identification matched the 1974 Ford Pinto Runabout that Clinkscales was last seen driving.
While going through the car, 50 different skeletal remains were recovered, along with a wallet — with identification and credit cards.

Finland’s First 5-Qubit Quantum Computer
How does a quantum computer work?
The way current computers work is that they use electricity to process information. Modern computers only use 2 states. Either no electricity is flowing (0) or there is electricity (1). This might sound complicated but it’s pretty easy. Think of a lamp. If you turn the switch off no current is flowing and the lamp is off. This represents a 0. Vica versa, opening the switch allows current to flow and the lamp turns on. This would be a 1.
