An increasing number of elderly Japanese people are committing small crimes so they can live in prison for free. People aged 65+ now make up more than a quarter of the prison population in Japan
Crime figures show that about 35 per cent of shoplifting offenses are committed by people over 60. Within that age bracket, 40 per cent of repeat offenders have committed the same crime more than six times.
There is good reason, concludes a report, to suspect that the shoplifting crime wave in particular represents an attempt by those convicted to end up in prison — an institution that offers free food, accommodation and healthcare.
This Is What Happens When You Continually Harass Mike Tyson
A video captured Mike Tyson throwing hands at a unruly passenger after being continually harassed.
According to TMZ, a witness said Mike was initially cool, even taking a selfie and being patient with the witness’ overly excited friend. But the friend kept trying to speak to the boxer.
When Mike had enough, he told the fan to chill but the man persisted with the conversation attempts. Sometime after Mike began to rain punches on the man, beating him on the face and head.
A photo shows a few blood drops on the side of the man’s face, who later received medical attention and reported to police.
Why Is Cave Diving So Dangerous?
Caves are hazardous for several major reasons, but this list isn’t everything:
1. It’s a hard overhead environment. Unlike open water, you cannot swim up to safety. You have to solve your problem in place or be prepared to swim out, which can be several hundred yards or more.

Currently valued at $2.3 billion, Yuri Sheffler made his fortune in the alcohol business. Venturing into business in 1993, Sheffler made a series of moves that got him the rights to brands of vodka such as Stolichnaya, which was previously owned by a state-owned corporation. This has put him at the center of long litigations with the Russian government over the ownership of the brand.
