What’s It Like To Attend A Timeshare Presentation

August 3, 2022

what is a timeshare presentation like

This is what it’s like to be on the receiving end of a Wyndham timeshare sales pitch. Here goes:

I vaguely knew what I was getting in to. My girlfriend and I arrived at an MGM owned casino. We get a bite to eat and as soon as we began our exploration of the Casino someone approached us offering vouchers for free play in the casino worth $75. I’m usually hesitant to ever get sucked into something like this but my girlfriend insisted that we do it. “They give it to you for showing up, we’ll just say no, I’ve got friends who did this too, etc.” I went along and decided to keep an open mind about it.

What Does It Feel Like To Be 80 Years Old Knowing That Death Is Imminent?

July 26, 2022

(photo: @flpschi)

I am in my 80s. To be this age is largely luck. To be this age and reasonably healthy with peace of mind is even luckier. To be this age, be healthy, and not lonely makes one feel so lucky that you want to gulp the moments down like a drowning man reaching air. I have been in five car crashes without being hurt (none were my fault). During the war as a child, I experienced several bombs falling within close range and where people within yards of myself were killed or injured. Numerous other such incidents sometimes gives one a sense of invulnerability, and other times that the next incident won’t be so lucky.

What’s It Like To Go To Harvard

July 11, 2022

harvard

Harvard is a very extreme place. You go there and everyone is extremely smart, extremely driven, extremely focused on attaining their goals. It is so extreme that it can become scary sometimes. When you have a bunch of people with high intelligence, but who are not necessarily mature or moral, you can get some pretty nasty results (that’s how you get so many insecure, bright students going into Wallstreet to make a lot of money even though it’s screwing everyone else over).

10 Lessons Learned From A Lifetime Of Bodybuilding Naturally

July 7, 2022

natural bodybuilding

1) “Lift weights like there is no tomorrow.”

I have this in quotes because, word for word, this was one thing a bodybuilding judge, who I really respected, told me after a show and it has stuck with me through the years. It’s extremely simple, almost stupid, advice…. But it has really defined how I’ve approached this journey.

Too many people, I think, worry about which exercise is better, high reps or low reps, high volume or low volume, overtraining or undertraining, etc. I know I’ve done it… But honestly… Just go in there, lift weights as intensely as you possibly can.

7 Confessions That Will Take You On A Rollercoaster Of Emotions

June 24, 2022

1. Me and my wife were having serious issues and then she got sick with cancer. That came like a mack truck. She said a lot of the grief she gave me was because she knew she was sick and was ashamed of burdening me and leaving me as a widow dad of four kids under 13.

4 People Describe What It’s Like To Be A NEET

June 14, 2022

whats it like to be a neet

1. It’s amazing and terrible at the same time. I’ve been living like this for about 19 years now. I feel rich beyond my wildest imagination living like this even though I don’t have much money but it’s kind of like being rich in a shitty repressive country.

I first became a neet sometime around 10 years old. There was fucking nothing to do all day. The Internet was still 56k, Google didn’t exist yet, nothing on tv all day, no dvrs or on demand, video games were still $40 each, albums were still $15 each.

What is a NEET?

A NEET or neet is a young person who is “Not in Education, Employment, or Training”. The acronym NEET was first used in the United Kingdom but its use has spread to other countries including Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.

In Japan, the classification comprises people aged between 15 and 34 who are unemployed, not engaged in housework, not enrolled in school or work-related training, and not seeking work.

What’s It Like To Date A Model

June 8, 2022

whats it like to date a model

I dated a model during what you might call her “declining” years. I put that in quotes because to a normal person the idea is absurd.

Models have a shelf-life of maybe 10 years, 15 if they are lucky. Once a model hits 30, the modeling industry considers her old and used up, and there is no shortage of eager 15- and 26-year-olds from Eastern Europe who are willing to work longer hours, fly more places, and get paid far less.

saudi arabia polygamy

How did you end up in a polygamous marriage?

I was born and was raised in Saudi Arabia, in Riyadh. A few months before my seventeenth birthday, my father, due to the Guardian System, told me that he had arranged a marriage for me to a foreign businessman in Dubai, and that I would be married within a few weeks.

Confession of a Man Who Overdosed On Fentanyl

May 26, 2022

The night started off “fine” or rather had been going fine. Had some friends over and we got some fetty. I’m talking straight white, just need a little bit fetty. When I first started using opiates fetty terrified me but it slowly became something I gravitated towards because I didn’t need as much, didn’t use as much, and got straight rocked. I had been getting this stuff all week, I thought I’d be fine.
