texas teacher sexual assault

A former Texas teacher has been sentenced to 60 days in prison for sexually assaulting a student for three years, beginning when he was 13.

Marka Bodine, who had taught the sixth grade, will not have to begin serving time until next year because she just had a baby, a judge ruled.

The infant’s father is not the boy, Bodine’s attorney said.

An experienced parachutist filmed his own two-mile death plunge after he fell from an airplane without realizing he had no parachute.

April 6, 1988: LOUISBURG, N.C. (AP) – A tired parachutist’s fatigue and his preoccupation with videotaping other jumpers could have led him to leap from a plane without a chute, plummeting 10,500 feet to his death, an acquaintance says.

The death of Ivan Lester McGuire was accidental, although ″a man who has jumped 800 times ought to remember his parachute,″ said Franklin County Sheriff’s Capt. Ralph Brown.

A Day In The Life Of A Prison Inmate

(photo: @tomblackout)

I can only say from my experience.

I was in a cell. There are also dorms, and I haven’t been in a dorm.

I was in a 2-3 man cell (new guy had to sleep on floor).

I woke up around 5:30 AM or just before( you get used to it). Then there was a count.

At that point you had the option to go back to sleep until breakfast or do something else, such as watch the local news on T.V., work out or try to shower.

You could also read, or do something. I usually got up and started moving around.

Around 7 you’d do another count where they actually looked in you cell to see if it was in order, and then chow.

Pelorus Jack

This is a photo of Pelorus Jack.

He was a dolphin that used to guide ships through an extremely dangerous channel in New Zealand. First appearing in 1888, Jack escorted ships for the next 24 years.

If the crew did not see Jack, they would wait for him to appear. He guided ships through the narrow channel by swimming alongside them for approximately 20 minutes. There were no shipwrecks under his watch.

A Few Tips, Tricks And Hacks That Will Make Your Life A Whole Lot Easier

If you have to fight with your significant other, hold hands and go for a walk. It’s very, very, VERY difficult to get angry while holding hands, or while walking together in the same direction.

The latter advice is great for all relationships, not just romantic ones. Conversations that happen on walks are very different from conversations that happen when you sit facing each other. Try it.
