The conductor is like the director of a movie. The actors technically do all of the work. They each have their own lines just like each musician has their part to play. Very often though, they are focused only on their part. And as performers, if left to their own devices they would probably try to out-perform the people around them. The conductor keeps that in check. It’s his or her job to make the whole production enjoyable, not just the individual performances.

DAVE GROHL: Well, you know, that was a great era for recording equipment. The late ’60s and the ’70s, a lot of this really beautiful equipment was being made and installed into studios around the world and the Neve boards were considered like the Cadillacs of recording consoles.

Some people claim that vinyl sounds better than digital formats and will shut their ears to any arguments to the contrary.
There is plenty of evidence out there supporting these claims, especially when you compare pre-compression era recordings to modern mastering.
There are also people who will tell you that a digital format such as a cd will never have the same sound quality as vinyl.
Most of the proponents of that argument base their pinions on the earliest examples of said format, conveniently ignoring the fact that quality has increased significantly since the 80s.

Specifically these artists, the beats and melodies they rap over are pretty unique. They’re blasting, melodic, and FUN.
It’s this bombastic progression of notes and melodies, and the contrast of them rapping and sounding like they straight up do not care makes it fantastic.
Hip hop has reached the same place rock n roll went when punk came on the scene. Trap and Punk have a lot in common.

No it isn’t.
Sid Vicious was just as incompetent as you’ve heard, unable to tune or play his bass, but he wasn’t chosen for the band for his musicianship.
The Pistols’ manager Malcolm McLaren fancied that he was making some sort of artistic statement through the look and style of the band as well as through their music, and he thought Sid represented the sort of nihilistic, destructive force he wanted punk to be. Plus he was a good looking lad (under all the hairspray and the sneer) who oozed danger and looked good with his shirt off.

The big issue with “rock” or really any guitar based music outside of country is multifold.
So with the collapse of the major labels due to multiple factors but mostly utterly and completely fucking up the transition to digital music they are not nearly as big and powerful as they once were. The major label focus shifted towards low investment, high yield artists since 2005 or so. The three most popular genres for this are rap, country and crossover pop music. I will give examples for all three.
